An exhilarating two-day percussion summer school for school-aged students led by award-winning percussion performer and educator Dr Nick Parnell. Learn new skills, experience a wide range of percussion instruments, and take part in inspiring masterclasses — all in a welcoming, inclusive and fun atmosphere. The event concludes with a mini concert for family and friends, where all participants come together to perform. Places are limited so book now!

Percussion students (marimba players, drummers etc) age 12 years to 18 years who are currently at school

Best access is via Gate 5 (entrance to car park) on Balmoral St

Timetable:

Day 1: 9:30am – 3pm

Day 2: 9:30am – 3:30pm

Mini free concert for family and friends – 3pm

Equipment Required:

Please bring your own drum sticks/mallets and a practise pad if you own one.

Terms & Conditions:

  1. Full payment must be made prior to confirm your place.
  2. Payments are non refundable.
  3. Should circumstances cause cancellation, The Nick Parnell Percussion Academy will advise at the earliest possible time and a refund given.
  4. Participants should bring their own food each day as this is non-catered event.
  5. All participants agree to treat other participants and educators in a respectful manner at all times. Any non-respectful behaviour may result in the parent/guardian been required to collect their child. No refund will be issued in this circumstance.
  6. The Nick Parnell Percussion Academy reserves the right to cancel if minimal numbers are not met. In this case a full refund will be given.
  7. The event is run by educators who hold working with children checks
